Navy Shores Project
Kitchen Design + Custom Cabinetry
This is Navy Shores. A kitchen that needed to work harder.
The previous layout was choppy and poorly thought out. A raised dishwasher creating uneven counter heights. Cabinetry running to the edge with no overhang for seating. Storage that prioritized cabinets over drawers—forcing the homeowners to dig through stacked items instead of accessing what they needed. The footprint was fine. The flow was fine. But the cabinetry decisions made daily life harder than it needed to be.
This family has two young kids and loves to host. The kitchen opens directly to the living and dining rooms—you walk into it from the front door. It needed to feel cohesive, not choppy. Intentional, not reactive.
We were immediately in sync about what wasn't working and what would. That alignment made the process quick and efficient—excellent collaboration from beginning to end. We kept the footprint. We reimagined everything else. FENIX® navy cabinetry by Miralis—a sophisticated matte finish that resists fingerprints and stands up to daily family life. A farmhouse sink. Custom fluted details on the island and hood. Floating shelves that keep sight lines open. Quartz countertops with real overhang for seating. Drawers where they make sense. Everything at one working height. No more reaching, digging, or working around poorly placed appliances.
The result: a kitchen that looks calm and feels effortless. It cleans easily. It hosts beautifully. It works the way a kitchen should—without making you think about it.
